Starting a spiritual path - Meditation on breath

OK, so you are new to this Gnostic and spiritual stuff. What to do? Where to start? How do you practice? All the old techniques are gone now, so what do you do? All the Gnostic teachers and masters say the truth is within you. What does this mean? It means that if you want to know the truth, you have to search inside your mind. Humanity seeks God outside themselves, which is why there is fighting and wars. You need to examine and search in your mind for the truth. When we meditate, we are purifying our intellect. Our intellects are influenced by our life experiences, both past life and current life, samskars (in yoga). These emotions are stuck within us, and the goal of spirituality are to clean them (remove them). When we succeed, we enter higher states of awareness until we reach absolute stainlessness, which results in a type of union with the supreme. Let’s talk about meditation. Meditation allows us to focus our minds into a state of concentration. Breath is not ordinary. Our breathing is the breath of the divine (called Neshema in Hebrew). All living things have this breath. We all take it for granted. So the aim of meditation (called Hagah in Hebrew or Melete in Greek) is to rest and watch our train of thoughts, watching them come and go. We sit in a comfortable position much like the person below with our hands crossed, and then we breathe in, then breathe out. We count to ten with every out breath and keep going in a cycle of ten each time. It is important to face east and good practice to meditate with bare feet. Our back should be straight or supported. We do this for 10 minutes a day to start with. Mediation on the breath is not ordinary. We are observing the functioning of the divine. Over time are concentration will get stronger. Through meditation, we can witness our minds and let it flow without distraction. Well, we can try, lol :).
