Gnostic Awakening
Apr 10, 2026
In many mystical traditions - especially in Tantra and Yoga - the power of the Kundalini Goddess is described as a dynamic force of attraction and repulsion, often symbolized as a cosmic push and pull within consciousness.
1 - THE KUNDALINI GODDESS AS LIVING ENERGY
The Kundalini is usually personified as the divine feminine power called Shakti. In the Gnostic tradition , the Kundalini is referred to Sophia or Barbelo.
She rests coiled at the base of the spine and represents raw cosmic energy, while the still, witnessing consciousness is often symbolized as Shiva.
When awakened, Shakti moves upward through the body, seeking union with Shiva at the crown. This movement is not passive- it behaves like magnetic force.
2 - THE PUSH AND PULL OF KUNDALINI
Mystics often describe Kundalini as having two complementary powers:
1 - Attraction (Pull)
Draws awareness inward toward the divine.
Pulls the mind away from ordinary ego thinking.
Magnetizes the soul toward higher consciousness.
2 - Repulsion (Push)
Pushes away illusions, fear and old identities.
Forces psychological transformation.
Breaks rigid patterns of thinking.
So the Kundalini Goddess acts almost like a cosmic magnet inside he human system.
Pulling the soul toward the truth
Pushing the ego out of the way
3 - WHY THE GODDESS SOMETIMES “MAKES FUN OF MEN”
In many mystical myths the feminine divine teases or humbles the masculine principle. This isn’t really about gender -it’s symbolic.
The masculine principal represents control, logic, and certainty.
The goddess “laughing at men” in spiritual symbolism means:
The intellect cannot control awakening,
Consciousness must surrender to the deeper power of life.
A playful way mystics describe it:
The mind says “I will control enlightenment”
The Kundalini Goddess replies: “That’s adorable”
4 - THE COSMIC JOKE OF AWAKENING
Many traditions say the goddess enjoys cosmic humor.
When people try to dominate reality with pure logic, the awakened energy often turns everything upside down.
The serious seeker becomes humble.
The proud thinker becomes a beginner again.
The one whom tries to control the divine learns to dance with it instead.
So the “joke” is that the deepest power in the universe is playful and alive, not mechanical.
5 - IN MYSTICAL LANGUAGE
The Kundalini Goddess is the magnetic force of the universe within the human body - pushing away illusion, pulling the soul toward unity, and occasionally laughing when the ego thinks it’s in charge.
Notes from my journal:
The beginnings of Kundalini activation is the appearing of the Shakti’s, muses, or Angel’s.
These powerful beings are the servants of the supreme goddess. They have Turkish, Egyptian, or Indian look to them. They usually make fun or laugh at the bewildered visionary. In the Tantric teachings, they are powers or aspects of powers. If you see them in your dreams, you are making good progress. In Tibetan Buddhism, they are called Dakini’s or sky goers.
They can show you your faults or mistakes and correct you. They enhance your lucid dreaming and move you forward. They know your weakness. Everyone has a boss , the Shakti’s have a supreme Shakti. Theses powerful beings do not belong to one religion but are the origin of the religious stories. When we leave this world, we will be guided by the goddess through a cave by candlelight into the next world. This is the between life and death state, called the Bardo in Tibetan mysticism.
