Gnosis is a path to awake the sleeping God. Every being is made of God but in all, the divine is asleep. Our entanglements over lifetimes causes the Divine to remain in slumber. We can see in the Psalms 44:24 for example that the Psalmist calls upon God to wake up and save his people. Gnosis is different from Religion as it is a practical path to realize the one God. Worship of a God outside of themselves is a delusion. Read the Gospel of Thomas for further clarification. Gnosis or more importantly the Henosis was kept secret from the masses due to the assumed danger by the big religious leaders. What will the big religions do if they can’t control the masses? Hey, what about all that money and being a big spiritual person? Do you think the prophets and seers wanted to start a religion? To realize Gnosis we need to go within, into the mind. We need to watch the thoughts arise and cease. There is something hidden within and it is up to us to search for it. First, we need to lift the veil of Isis within and see the dualism. Second, we must watch the universal mind (the cosmos within) and see how it begins and ends. Third when we find what was before the inner cosmos, the original or primordial being then we will have Gnosis.
